A family in Kenwood, OH was ready to create a kitchen that felt calm and uncluttered while supporting their daily routine.
They were drawn to clean lines and natural materials, and wanted a space that would grow with their young family. We designed a modern kitchen that balances serenity with function —a place that looks beautiful and handles real life with ease.
The sage green island became our anchor—grounding the space and adding depth without overwhelming the airy feel they were after.
This earthy color creates a focal point and brings just enough richness to balance all the white cabinetry and crisp subway tile. The clients were initially nervous about keeping things so minimal—worried it might feel too stark or lack personality. But once the cabinets were installed and they could see how the wood grain brought character to the space, everything clicked.
This kitchen does exactly what the family hoped it would—it provides a calm backdrop for their busy life while being functional enough to handle whatever gets thrown at it.
